Our Chimney Safety Institute of American (CSIA) licensed staff goes through rigorous training to become CHIMNEY SWEEP professionals. They have the training and expertise to go over every inch of your chimney to detect problem areas and help solve them.

Our History:
In 1946, Willard Mace left the U.S. Navy and settled on a farm in Rising Sun, Maryland. He found a need in the community for a business that could supply building materials. With a single truck and a shed, Mace Supply was born. Over the years, the business grew into a general building supply, hardware store and a general contractor operation for custom built homes. During the energy crisis of the early 1970’s, a special emphasis toward alternative energy heat sources came about and Mace Supply added wholesale operations in hearth products representing numerous suppliers covering a seven state area.
In 1987, Mr. Mace decided to retire again and moved to Smithsburg, Maryland where he opened a small retail operation, Mace Energy Supply. From this building, he soon found that retirement was not in the picture due to the high demand for these products in this area. In 1996 at age 79, Willard finally decided it was time to really retire. The business and property was sold to his stepson, William “Tad” Tweed, who incorporated the operation giving rise to Mace Energy Supply, Inc. Our company is proudly still a family owned and operated business.
Today & Tomorrow
Mace Energy Supply currently sells and services top-line manufacturers in all hearth and outdoor product lines. For pellet stoves, we carry Harman. For wood fireplaces we sell Hearthstone and Ventis. We also carry Hearthstone and Vermont Castings for wood stoves.
We also clean chimneys, service a wide range of inserts and pellet and wood stoves, make sure dryer vents are clean and safe. We will help you with all of your chimney liner needs clear up to the cap!
