We get this question a good bit around here. Sometimes it is spoken with a slight edginess to it, other times it is asked in earnest. So here’s our answer – why is there a difference between buying your hearth appliance (wood stove, pellet stove, fireplace insert, chimney liner and the like) from a local specialized hearth dealer or from a big box store?
Answer: The big box guys (by them I mean places like Lowes, Home Depot and others like them) they are built mostly around budget. As you compare price alone, they will beat us out on price every time. If budget alone is your primary and only objective, then stop right there and go no further. They are the place for you! If budget is NOT your only concern AND you want an educated, personal, professional & long term relationship – then come see us!
